This setting of the Latin text In pace, in idipsum – the Sarum Lenten Responsory at the Office of Compline – was originally written for lay clerks. It features close choral harmonies trading off with chant alternatim sections taken from the Sarum Breviary. The chant sections may be performed as a solo, soli, or tutti.
